The club holds informal evening meetings on the second Tuesday of some months of the year, at which time we will either have practical demonstrations relating to techniques in model building, talks on flying skills or fun competitions on flight simulators.
Bring along your latest project or model
We also run a number of competitions throughout the summer months at the flying field, for some of which trophies are awarded. These competitions cover a wide range of flying and building abilities – including gliding, scale flying, best newcomer/novice flying and one or two fun challenges. All of these are voluntary!
Balloon bursting
From time to time, the club organizes aeronautical themed visits – such as to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
