New members are very welcome. For those who are new to the hobby, our membership includes several individuals who are capable of, and familiar with, teaching radio control flying, using the tandem/buddy box system.
If you are under 18 years old and would like a free go at flying a plane on a buddy box system to see if the hobby is for you then email us on contactrmfc@gmail.com to arrange a date and time. 
Experienced flyers will be expected to demonstrate flying standard and attainment of the BMFA ‘A’ test before flying solo.
We have a fully qualified BMFA examiner as a member and so are able to test and certify new flyers ‘in house’.
Our membership year runs from July – June and our annual fees are currently set at
Full membership: £60
Junior membership: £20 (under 18)
Associate membership: £35
New members a joining fee of £40 is payable.
New junior members a joining fee of £10 is payable.
In addition all members will be required to have membership of the BMFA for insurance purposes which for 2024 is
Senior – £47
Junior – £20
Family Senior – £42
Family Partner – £30
Family Junior – £15.
Please note that due to a price increase from the supplier, the optional plastic membership
and rewards card will be £6.00 for 2024.
This can be paid direct through the BMFA.
